Twang (2001) ~ aka The Legends of Country

IMAX feature film.

A young Irish boy travels through time to view the development of country music. The boy's musical father is forced to immigrate to the United States because of the Irish potato famine of the 1840's, and the story begins as the boy travels across the ocean and through time to see the legacy of his father's music.

Dixie plays the late Minnie Pearl, "Country's Queen of Comedy." Cast lincludes country music stars Vince Gill, Billy Gilman, Alan Jackson, Martina McBride, Tim McGraw, Kathy Mattea, Dolly Parton, LeAnn Rimes, and Marty Stuart.
