Fired Up!

Dixie plays Gwen's (Sharon Lawrence) mother, a well-to-do, superficial woman who left the mothering of her daughter to the nanny, opting instead to shower young (and adult) Gwen with checks as gifts and tokens of affection. Rita's two visits not only help explain Gwen's similar character, but eventually exposes the regret both women feel for having missed out on a more maternal relationship.
