ANNOUNCER: Please welcome one of the stars of the hit CBS drama, Family Law -- Dixie Carter.

DIXIE: The category is -- [someone in the audience whistles loudly and Dixie smiles *] -- thank you so much [laughing/blushing and camera pans to Tony Danza who's laughing, also]. The category is Favorite Television Dramatic Series. And all three finalists are exceptionally fine shows. The quality of the writing, the level of the acting, the production values are all extremely first rate. [playfully sad and wistful] Exceptionally ... fine shows. I'm delighted for all three of these choices the people have nominated and extremely impressed with the perspicacity of the viewing public [applause, cheers]. And ... given that my show, Family Law is not one of those three nominees -- those FINE nominees -- I think it'd be nice if I got some kind of an award for being so cheerful up here! Or ... or maybe just a little small trophy for being able to pronounce "perspicacity"! Nevertheless, your three favorite dramatic television series this year are --
